Let me tell you a story...

25 years ago I went to see a consultant at my local hospital. I had been referred there by my GP because I had had several terrible bouts of a skin condition called uticara. This resulted in me having huge wheals on my skin. It was terrible. It was taking over my life. I was scared. I couldn't afford to be ill now. It was intensely itchy and I felt so embarrassed about the state of my skin. It got so bad that I had to go on steroids a couple of times. I wasn't allergic to anything but we just couldn't find the cause. Anyway I was desperate to find a cure. Off I went to see this doctor. He was quite an elderly doctor and he didn't say very much but he did seem very understanding. He just wanted me to tell him about my life. When I thought I had finished he paused for a few minutes and then asked me what else I did and I continued talking. He then asked me to think about how I was juggling everything in life.  At that time I was running a home on a shoe- string, I had 2 small children and a sick husband. And if that wasn't enough I was studying for a degree! The doctor didn't ask to look at my skin. He just spoke to me in a calm way. I was in control and I remember every detail.  It's only now after all those years that I know that doctor was using some hypnotic language to help me realise that I had to make some changes in my life. I have never had that skin problem again. It was amazing! I am not claiming that hypnotherapy was the cure but I did realise that I had to think about me and the stress that I was under in order to make changes in my life. Can I help you to realise that you have the power to make changes in your life?

When I am not working I enjoy family outings, meeting friends, reading and writing, swimming and holidays abroad. In 2010 I combined a holiday to Australia to see my brother with attendance at the 60th World hypnotherapy Conference in Sydney. Who says mixing business and pleasure isn't good!!

I am a great dog lover although I don't have a dog at the moment. Sometimes I like to do something a bit different- my latest challenge is learning Spanish. And I have even found that my very basic Spanish has helped when treating people who have Spanish as their first lanaguage. I use the words of the client to connect with the subconscious mind. So knowing a few phrases in Spanish helps me to help those clients in a more familiar way. The words I use become much more meaningful to them so helping them to make the changes that they desire.

I like meeting people so several years ago I decided to become a TEFL teacher and learn how to teach English as a foreign language. This means that sometimes I help students to learn English. I can offer something different to them as I can teach them about being relaxed during exams as well as the usual speaking, reading, writing and listening exercises.

I practice self hypnosis and that is what I believe helps me balance life. It's such an easy thing to do and so enjoyable to just take a few minutes out of your life to relax your mind and your body. The more I practice self hypnosis the better it is.  I like to teach my clients how to do self hypnosis too but to achieve the best from self hypnosis people must practice regularly.

So I hope your will soon find out that I am approachable, serious about what I do and I care.
Give me a call, email me (only I respond to my emails)...

You are only one step away from making that change that you desire. Be amazed as I was when I discovered hypnosis!

If you would rather just come and talk to me in a counselling session, that's Ok.

Or maybe you are interested in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Gentle tapping on your clothed body by me or you is all it takes to release bottled up emotions and make positive changes in your life.

I live and practice in Bournemouth, Dorset and surrounding areas.
